News 24.com/Australia,NBN Co. and NBN Co have signed an agreement to upgrade a school in Melbourne’s west, and the project will see the school renamed Tiger Moth Elementary.
The school was previously known as the Tiger Moths Elementary School.
The Education Department said it had reached an agreement with the company and the Victorian Government, and that it would use its expertise and resources to support the development of a new educational building, known as Tiger Muthon, which will be built on the site of the old Tiger Mathers Elementary School in Westfield.
The Department said Tiger Mithon was a “distinctly Victorian school”, and had been established in 1885.
“The Department will be using its expertise to provide the Victorian State Government with a project that will help enhance the educational and cultural infrastructure of the region,” the Department said in a statement.
“It is essential that this infrastructure is sustainable and is built to the highest standards.”
The project will be completed in the next six to 12 months, and will include the installation of new classrooms, playground equipment and school supplies.NBN co chief executive Steve Lowy said the new Tiger Mighons building would be a world-class educational and learning facility, and would help enhance Tiger Mathons reputation as a high quality learning facility.”NBN is proud to work with the Department of Education and the Department to help build a new TigerMoth school, which is a unique opportunity for students and teachers to experience the beautiful and awe-inspiring environment that is Tiger Maithon,” he said.
“As a community we will build on the history and tradition of TigerMoths as a school and also work to create an education community which is proud of its heritage.”
“The new Tiger school will have a focus on the arts, sports, health and wellness, as well as an array of educational activities and activities for the children.”
The Education department said the project would support the Tigers current programs and programs which include the National High School of Learning, Tiger Malthon Education Club and Tiger Miahs First Year School.
It will also support the creation of an additional Tiger Miths Secondary School and a new, regional Tiger Matha School.
Norman Brown, a member of Tiger Mthons First Year Club, said he hoped the project was a way to improve Tiger Maths reputation and heritage.
“We are very happy and proud to have a new school with a new name, and this is something that has a lot to do with the history of Tigermoth and TigerMithons school,” he told ABC Radio Melbourne.
“A lot of schools that have a school named after a famous teacher or a teacher or teacher of some kind have a name that has come from that school, and they will be very proud of that name.”
The Tiger Mouth is a school for children aged from six to 15 years old, which includes a sports program and also provides education for children with special needs, including autism.
