Dez, the Cowboys’ top receiver, has had “great rapport” with head coach Jason Garrett and offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, according to his father, Todd Bryant.
The two are longtime teammates, having played collegiately at Arizona State.
Todd Bryant said his son was a hard worker, which is something that his dad has been saying all along.
Dez had three interceptions in the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons, but was limited to a mere five catches for 41 yards.
The Cowboys’ offense struggled with poor play from the backfield, which led to Dez receiving just seven receptions for 79 yards and three touchdowns on eight targets.
The only other receiver with fewer catches and yards for Dallas was the fourth-year player with a touchdown reception in Week 2.
Dextre is a three-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro.
He is also a two-time first-team All-America.
